Can DHMSCare monitor kiln drives, raw mills, cement mills and ID fans?

Short answer

Yes. DHMSCare monitors cement-plant motors, gearboxes and fans, including mill drives and induced-draft fans; for slow kiln drives, tell us the shaft speed and we confirm the right sensor first. An induced-draft fan is the large fan that pulls hot gas through the kiln.

Why these machines decide your output

If the induced-draft fan stops, the kiln stops with it. Mills sit behind silos, so a raw mill or coal mill stop slows the kiln only once the silo feeding it runs low.

These machines also wear in ways a walk-round rarely catches. Bearings, gears and fan rotors change slowly, long before anything is visible or audible.

How DHMSCare watches each machine

Wireless sensors on the motor, gearbox and fan bearings measure vibration and temperature. DHMSCare learns a normal level for every measuring point, so a slow change stands out even on a machine that always vibrates a lot.

On fans, material that builds up unevenly on the blades slowly upsets the balance, which shows as rising vibration at running speed; when a piece breaks off, the vibration can jump at once. Gear wear is tracked once the gearbox's tooth counts are entered.

What to expect on site

Sensors go on near the bearing seats while the line keeps running. They are IP69-rated, the top protection level for dust and high-pressure water.

The sensors work on surfaces from −40 to 100 °C. For hotter surfaces, such as the kiln shell, ask us before you install. In working plants, DHMSCare AI fault diagnosis is right in 85%+ of cases.

Next step

That is what DHMSCare does on a cement line: every measuring point learns its own normal level, and Mina turns each alert into a conclusion, so kiln and mill maintenance is planned on evidence instead of after a failure.

Questions buyers also ask

Can the sensors handle cement dust?

Yes. DHMSCare sensors are IP69-rated against dust and high-pressure water. Each one is mounted near the bearing seat of the machine it watches.

How do you handle the slow kiln drive?

Slow shafts need the right sensor and setup, so we check them before you order. Share the shaft speed with us, and we choose and confirm the sensor before you buy.

Which machines should a cement plant start with?

Start with the induced-draft fan and the raw mill and coal mill drives, the machines that hold up the kiln when they stop. Add the other fans, pumps and conveyors line by line.
