Predictive maintenance for solar manufacturing plants

How can a solar cell or module plant keep its fans, pumps and air compressors running without unplanned stops?

DHMSCare monitors the fans, pumps and air compressors that keep cell and module lines running.

These include exhaust and process fans, cooling-water and vacuum pumps, and compressed-air systems.

Wireless vibration and temperature sensors watch their bearings and motors around the clock.

The industrial AI agent identifies early fault signs and recommends the next maintenance step.

Industry challenges

Cleanroom chemicals and dust

Chemical vapors and dust in cell and module production attack equipment surfaces and make frequent manual inspection difficult.

Vacuum and cooling-water stops

A vacuum pump or cooling-water pump failure stops the whole cell or module line without warning.

Fan bearing degradation

Exhaust and process fans run continuously, and bearing degradation develops quietly until it trips the line.

Compressed-air interruptions

Compressed air feeds tools and automation across the plant, so a compressor fault can stall many lines at once.

Monitoring solution

Focus monitoring on the bearings, gearboxes and motors of exhaust and process fans, cooling-water and vacuum pumps, and air compressors across the cell and module lines.

Platform

DHMSCare uses AI to identify early fault signs such as gear wear and bearing anomalies, assess equipment health and provide maintenance recommendations.

Which equipment in a polysilicon or solar cell plant should be monitored?

DHMSCare monitors the pumps, compressors, chillers and centrifuges that keep a polysilicon plant running, and the gearboxes on solar manufacturing lines. At one polysilicon plant it monitors reflux, transfer, rectification-water and circulating-water pumps, centrifugal air compressors, chillers, and hydrogen and tail-gas compressors; at a second, canned transfer pumps. Polysilicon plants have hazardous areas: DHMSCare offers hardware certified under IECEx, the international scheme for equipment used in explosive atmospheres; the certificate states which models and zones it covers, and you should ask us for the certificate before ordering for a hazardous area.

Is it a fit?

Does DHMSCare monitor solar panels or inverters on a solar farm?

No. DHMSCare does not monitor solar panels or inverters on a solar farm; it monitors rotating equipment, such as the pumps, compressors and gearboxes in polysilicon and solar manufacturing plants. DHMSCare covers rotating equipment such as motors, gearboxes, compressors, blowers and pumps, and its solar work is in manufacturing plants.

Questions

We are a small or mid-sized company. Is this for us?

Yes. Start with one line and one gateway, subscribe per sensor per year, and begin on AI Care; Care if you only need condition monitoring.

How long does a one-line pilot take?

Installation follows the seven steps in our quick installation guide: create the equipment, mount the gateway, attach the sensors and bind the measuring points. We agree the pilot period with you by line size.

We have no vibration engineer. Can we still use it?

Yes. The AI identifies early fault signs, assesses equipment health and gives maintenance recommendations, and Mina tells you which machine to handle first and why.

Which equipment should a solar plant monitor first?

The fans, pumps and air compressors on the cell and module lines: their bearings, gearboxes and motors.

Do the sensors survive the cleanroom and chemical environment?

Every DHMSCare wireless sensor is rated IP69.

How is the point plan sized?

One sensor per bearing point: 3 per machine, as in the table above (motor drive end and non-drive end, plus one bearing on the driven machine). Actual quantities are confirmed on site, and we map the points on your machines before we talk.
